Depending on the time of year, I prefer the following beers: Ayinger or Paulaner Maerzen in spring, Ayinger Bräu-Weisse or Hofbräu Münchner Kindl in summer, Hofbräu Oktoberfest in fall, and Aventius Wheat Doppelbock or Weizen Eisbock in winter. -- Scott Anderson, US

I'm glad I had as much Paulaner as I could before I decided to change my lifestyle. It's heavy on the stomach but I loved the taste! -- Steph, Philippines

I must say that my favorite type of beer is definitely German Pilsner. -- Todd Liebman, US

Augustiner! It's the closest I'll ever get to heaven. In second place, every other German beer I've had the pleasure to drink. Prost! -- John Langford, US

My favorite beer is Thurn und Taxis from Regensburg. -- Dumitru Florea, Romania

I lived in Germany -- Bitburg to be exact -- and moved to Florida in 1990. I have been to Cologne a few times and I must say that their bier is very good, even compared to Bitburger Pils. But the Früh Kölsch I had last time I was there was fantastic -- the best beer I've had in a while. -- Charles Litavic, US

Well, of course Beck's is the best. From Bremen, I guess. -- Harry Oliveto

I was a US soldier in Amberg (Bavaria) in 1983 and love the Schneider Weisse best. I tried many beers but this one has a sweet and nutty flavor with good yeast. Prost! -- Carl Sloan

I admit, I am a big fan of German beers. There are many different brands I have had including Warsteiner, Holstein, DAB, Beck's, and a couple of others though I can't remember the names. Very good beer! I bet it tastes better in Germany though than here. Heineken is one of my favorite beers of all. I can't wait to go to Europe to sample all the various different beers/ales I've never heard of to truly understand the love of beer over in Europe. -- Brian Glen, Canada

I prefer German beer, especially "Weissbier." The only American beer I like is Samuel Adams. Budweiser is garbage. -- Richard Heldmann, US
