Rescue Service on Skis

The ski slopes around the winter resort of Winterberg in western Germany are hopping - and that means the mountain rescue service is busy, too. They see it all, from sprained ankles to bumps, bruises, and bloody noses. And when skiers can no longer make it down the slopes under their own steam, it’s the rescue service that goes to get them.
