Revamping Business - Boosting the low-growth economy

Susanne Henkel runs a company in southern Germany that makes recreational furniture made from tubular steel. The frames are strung by hand - and are made to last. If the webbing gets worn in the course of the years, the customer can send it back to get restrung. It’s an unusual business model, but Henkel wants to reduce the company's ecological footprint, and not just boost turnover.
