After almost two decades of negotiations, Russia has taken the last major hurdle to become a member of the World Trade Organisation. +++LM-REIN+++ The Russian parliament has ratified accession to the W-T-O - but only by a small majority. Many law-makers expressed doubts about the move, saying it'll open the country to cheap exports.. and create more problems than benefits. +++ LM-RAUS +++ Germany sees things differently - and is hoping for easier trade ties with such a huge market. But there's still a lot of work to be done in winning over business owners in Russia who are opposed to W-T-O membership.
