Mehmet has a famous cousin and the German football champion Mesut Özil is also his role model. Like him, Mehmet wants to become a professional footballer, starting off at Rot-Weiß Essen. But he still has to convince the coaches that he’s up to the job. Stivi, whose family is mad about sport, has to do the same. His parents used to be professional athletes but don’t want to put pressure on their son. They say he puts enough pressure on himself. Towards the end of the season, Mehmet and Stivi have a big match ahead - against Essen’s big rival Dortmund. Will they make the cut and fulfil their dream? A report by Peter Wozny.
