Socialist Party wins elections in Spain - je 10.03.2008 08

Michael BärMarch 10, 2008

Spain's governing Socialist Party has won the country's parliamentary elections. The Socialists managed to pick up a few more seats in Sunday's vote, but it was still not enough to give the party an absolute majority. Prime Minister Jose Luiz Rodriguez Zapatero is expected to form a coalition government with one or more of the smaller regional parties. Voter turnout was just over 75 percent. +++ SYN-
