De Gea rejects sex claims

David De Gea has categorically denied reports that he organized a ‘sex party' in 2012 between two footballers and two women, one of whom claims they were both sexually assaulted, according to claims in the Spanish press.
The story was reported by Spanish newspaper El Diario, who claim the allegations surfaced during a rape case against pornography producer Ignacio Fernandez Allende, who has been in jail since April 2015 for charges relating to prostitution, human trafficking for sexual exploitation, sexual assault, child pornography, extortion and money laundering.
El Diario report that De Gea, who plays his club football for Manchester United, was not present at the alleged meeting.
The story, which also implicates De Gea's former Spain under-21 teammate Iker Muniain, comes on the opening day of Euro 2016 and three days before Spain open their campaign against the Czech Republic on Monday. Spanish police investigating the case claim that the witness' statement was “highly credible”.
It had been initially reported that De Gea had been sent home from France after the news broke, but the 25-year-old appeared at a press conference and strongly denied the accusations, claiming the matter was being dealt with by his lawyers.
“It's a lie, nothing more than that,” De Gea told the assembled press on Friday afternoon. “I have spoken to Iker Muniain and I am calm. It's all lies and it's in the hands of my lawyers.
He added: “I haven't thought about leaving the national team. I am calm, this doesn't bother me.”
