Stefan Kobe, Film Editor

„Schumann at Pier2“ is the second music documentary Stefan Kobe has worked on together with the director Christian Berger, after „The Beethoven Project“.

Born in 1976 in East Berlin, Stefan Kobe studied film-making at the Universityof Filmand Television "Konrad Wolf" in Potsdam-Babelsberg. His final year film “Netto” (Directed by Robert Thalheim) premiered at the Berlinale in 2005 and won the film prize “Deutscher Filmkunstpreis”. Since then he has worked regularly with director Robert Thalheim, including for the feature film “And along come tourists” (Official Selection, Cannes 2007).

In addition to his work in feature films, Stefan Kobe has also been involved in documentaries. Particularly noteworthy is his work with the director Rosa von Praunheim, with whom he made the controversial film “Männer, Helden, schwule Nazis”, which ran in the Berlinale in 2005. Stefan Kobe lives and works in Berlin as a freelance film editor.
