Germany's national U19 team has been announced for the coming European Championships, with seven Bundesliga capped players in the 18 man squad. The team will complete a jam-packed summer for Germany's national teams, when they travel to Greece for the U19 European Championships on July 6.

Head coach Marcus Sorg has named Stuttgart pair Timo Werner and Timo Baumgartl in the squad, despite the overall slump of the club.

Schalke's Leroy Sane is also in the squad, while Hoffenheim's German-Afghan Nadiem Amiri features in the list after breaking into the first-team this season under Markus Gisdol.

Set to play Spain, Netherlands and Russia

After flying to Greece on July 3, the U19 squad, current holders of the European crown, embark on a challenging group stage, competing against Spain, Netherlands and Russia.

Last summer, Germany won the U19 Euros in Hungary with ten of that title-winning squad going on to represent their country at the U20 World Cup in New Zealand this year. But the campaign Down Under ended earlier than expected, when the team lost in the quarterfinals to Mali earlier this week.

Germany has won the U19 championship six times, but is three behind England and Spain who are the most successful sides in the tournament's 67 year history.
