Humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip were already dismal before the Israeli military offensive began. But now the situation is truly desperate. The UN suspended its relief efforts last week after one of its drivers were killed. And now the Red Cross had just announced it will no longer provide escorts for ambulances, saying the risks are too great. Thousands of Gazans are on the move, trying to escape the fighting. But many have nowhere left to go.
