With its mountains, the Alllgäu region in southern Germany is certain of having snow in winter, so it's ideal for winter sports. Tiefenberger Moos, or Tiefenberg Moor, near Ofterschwang, offers some 30 kilometers of cross-country skiing trails through impressive Alpine scenery.
