Researchers at the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft in Oldenburg have set up a special hotline answered by a computer. When callers cough into the receiver, the computer can tell them whether they have a dry tracheal cough or a phlegmy bronchial variety. The hotline is no substitute for a visit to your doctor, of course!
