Lorenz Potthast, a 23-year-old student from Bremen, has earned international acclaim for his Decelerator Helmet. People who don it develop a new sense of time. A camera transmits images of the outside world via a netbook to video glasses on the inside of the helmet. The netbook slows down the speed of the video stream. Over 300-thousand users have watched Potthast's video explaining how the helmet works.
