The Greek government appeals for calm after a police shooting leads to widespread rioting (07.12.2008) - je 13

Riots continued throughout Greece today following the death of a teenager shot by police in Athens. According to local media, the violence began after groups of youths began attacking a police car with stones and firebombs. The shooting sparked rioting and demonstrations in a number of other cities and on the island of Crete.
