The growing popularity of Christian pilgrimages in France

There are now 30 long pilgrimages in France and hundreds more short ones. So why, in times when fewer people are going to church or even just identifying as Christian, have they become so popular? John Laurenson joined the thousands of pilgrims that now take part in an annual pilgrimage in the northern French city of Valenciennes to find out.
