Located in Saint Tropez on the French Rivera, the area now known as Club 55 was just a hut owned by the de Colmont family, and Saint Tropez was relatively unknown. That changed when French director Roger Vadim chose to shoot his film "And God Created Woman" with Brigitte Bardot there in 1955, and made the hut his caterer while filming. The hut then turned into Club 55 - now home to the jet set.
