In 2011 during the renovation of a house in Leipzig art teacher Maxi Kretschmar discovered a graffiti painting. It was a Madonna and Child - by one of Europe's earliest stencil graffiti artists, Xavier Prou of France, but known to most people as Blek le Rat. It was painted illegally in 1991, and now it has a historical preservation order.
