Rome will have to wait until it's clear who becomes the new pope - but there's already a new man at the top of the Vatican Bank: Pope Benedict appointed a German aristocrat, Ernst von Freyberg, to head the Catholic Church's financial institute. He'll be trying to clean up its image after his predecessor was sacked nine months ago.
