Being eye to eye with ancient trees and close to flora and fauna on a treetop path is a fascinating experience. There are quite a lot to choose from in Germany and many are architectural highlights. For example the one on the island of Rügen, which  has the shape of an eagles’ nest and built around a huge beech tree. The path is 1250 meters long and spirals 40 meters upwards. Guided tours are available on a daily basis.
