Two people including an Iranian man were killed and two policemen suffered gunshot wounds after a police chase through the German port city of Hamburg, a police spokesman said on Monday. The 37-year-old Iranian shot dead a German woman who was in his car before committing suicide. He had exchanged fire with the police who were attempting to question him over a stolen number plate attached to his car. The woman was in the late stages of cancer and there was evidence to suggest the pair were planning to steal a large amount of money, police spokesman Ralf Meyer said. "It seems as if they had nothing to lose," Meyer said. Police said they had arrested two men, but gave no further details.
