US Lawmakers say former Vice President Dick Cheney abused his powers by concealing information from Congress

In the US, Democrats are accusing former Vice President Dick Cheney of abusing his powers. They're demanding a Congressional investigation into allegations that Cheney ordered the CIA to conceal from Congress the existence of a counterterrorism program to capture or kill Al Qaeda operatives. CIA head Leon Panetta reportedly ended the program on June 23 when he learned of it.
