The club responded by signing Julio Dos Santos from Bayern, but he promptly got hurt and won't play again this season. So the Wolves turned round and took a chance on Marcelinho, one of the league's best, but most eccentric players during the past five years.
The question is: which Marcelinho are they getting? The one who was consistently among the Bundesliga's top scorers for Hertha? Or the one who was hustled out of Berlin this summer for discipline problems and who failed to make a mark during a brief stint in Turkey?
If Marcelinho shows anything like his old form, expect the Wolves to move up the table. If not, they'll regret the 2.7 million euro transfer fee they dished out to acquire him.
