Vintage: The NSU RO 80

The NSU Ro 80 sedan hit the market way back in 1967. With its revolutionary body and futuristic design it was ahead of its time. It relied on a Wankel engine, which gets its power from a spinning rotor instead of piston displacement.

Just one liter produced 115 horsepower, which was enough to push the speedometer up to 180 km/h. It had issues though, like high gas consumption. However, it remains a milestone in automobile history.
