In 2010 volcanic ash from Iceland brought planes in Europe to a standstill. Millions of people were stranded and airlines lost a fortune in revenues. Iceland has 30 active volcanoes but it is the Eyjafjallajökull that became infamous. Things have calmed down somewhat now and so we went on an extreme hike offered by Tomas Birger Magnusson who brings us to the volcano's crater.
