Welcoming Prize-Winners to the 2013 DW Global Media Forum
On 15 January, DW launched a competition for journalists in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. The two winners will be invited to take part in the 2013 Global Media Forum in Bonn, Germany.
Journalists and media professionals based in Indonesia are welcome to submit their entries by 15 April 2013. Topics may relay to environmental, globalization, scientific, political and lifestyle stories and affairs. An award will be given in each of two categories: TV and print/online.
All entries must be submitted no later than 15 April 2013.
To be considered for the competition, all submissions must be produced and published within the three months between 15 January and 15 April in English or Bahasa Indonesia.
The topics listed above form the foundation of the annual interdisciplinary Global Media Forum, whose focus varies from year to year. That is one reason why the prize-winners will be required to produce at least one article about their stay in Germany after participating in the conference.
The theme of this year's Global Media Forum is "The Future of Growth – Economic Values and the Media". The conference will take place from 17-19 June 2013 at the World Conference Center in Bonn, Germany.
