What did the German government know about training for Libyan security forces - je 07.04.2008 18

The German government says it was unaware that a security firm here has secretly been training Libyan police for the past few years. Active members of Germany's police and army were involved in the training, which began in 2005 -- when Libya was still listed as a supporter of international terrorism. Newspaper reports have alleged that government officials in Berlin knew about the courses and the opposition is calling for an investigation.
