Which English language tests are recognized? Which scores do I need?

Please find here a short overview on recognized language certificates.

Up to and including the start of studies in the winter semester 2019/20, the course was bilingual (English and German). From the start of studies in the winter semester 2020/21, English will be the only language of instruction.

English

Due to the study orientation, proof of English language skills is required: Usually in the form of a test in the home country at a recognized institution. This does not apply to native speakers and applicants who have already completed their studies in English. The required language level is "C1", in accordance with the "Common European Framework". An overview of recognized language testsand the required language level can be found on the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg's website.

German

Online language courses and exercises can be helpful to deepen your knowledge of German before starting your studies in Germany. An overview of the relevant websites is available for download.
