The outside temperature might be well below zero, but when swimming teacher Frank Kaldenpoth takes his thermometer into the Dormagen thermal baths, it reads a cozy 30 degrees Celsius. The facility attracts around 400 swimmers per day in the winter, eager to enjoy an open-air dip.
