World in Progress: Baka livelihoods threatened

In Cameroon, the lives of the Baka people, also called Pygmies, have been closely tied to their ancestral forests. But the construcion of roads is destroying their livelihoods and traditional lifestyles. While governments in the region will need to continue infrastructure projects and development, a new study now urges for a dialogue with the local people affected by the projects.
