World in Progress: Lockdowns hit Guatemala's poor

Guatemala is the country with the fewest hospitals in Latin America. That’s why strict lockdowns have been enforced. But they have had dire effects on the poor - and can even lead to deaths from starvation. For people who have been facing hunger and violence on a daily basis even before the pandemic, the situation is bleak.
