Two-thirds of the total population in Africa still has no access to electricity. Thanks to plunging prices of solar panels and LED-lights, dozens of startups are now offering affordable solar systems for people's home systems, or solar mini grids for communities that don't have access to the national grid. That also boosts people's economic opportunities.
