A Senegalese chef in New York

Pierre Thiam was born in Senegal, but he has spent most of his life in New York where he works as an esteemed chef. He's served everyone from former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to the King of Morocco. He caught up with DW's Dany Mitzman to talk about his beginnings as a science student and his joy in sharing West African cuisine with the world.
