WorldLink: America's mass deportation of Mexicans

In the 1930s, the United States expelled as many as 1 million American citizens with Mexican backgrounds and sent them to Mexico. The largely forgotten repatriation program was enforced during the depression, a time when immigrants were blamed for the country's high unemployment. For descendants of those deportees, the current US president's hardline rhetoric on immigration is hauntingly familiar.
