Back to school

Don Duncan, AmsterdamDecember 16, 2016

For Sami Rahma, future plans can be reduced to one word: survival. The 34-year-old Syrian fled the country over two years ago, and still cares for his mother, three sisters and one brother who live in Syria, Egypt and Germany. He has gained asylum and some much-needed stability in the Netherlands. And, as Don Duncan reports, 2017 is the year Sami Rahma will go back to school.
