Witnessing My Lai

Army photographer Ronald L. Haeberle was with US soldiers when they stormed the village of My Lai on March 16, 1968. He saw GIs set fire to homes, poison the wells and kill women and children. The infamous massacre played a defining role in turning public opinion against the Vietnam War. And it was mainly thanks to Haeberle's photographs that the world found out what really happened.
