绿色和平警告加大采煤将给中国带来水危机

Drought continues to plague many parts of China, with tens of thousands people suffering water shortages and millions of others affected. Since October, little rain has fallen in several provinces including Shandong, Hebei, Henan, Anhui, Shanxi and Jiangsu. The State Council, Chinas Cabinet, allocated 2.2 billion yuan (US$334 million) for farm irrigation and drought-relief equipment and supplies on Thursday (27 January 2011). The central government has earmarked 4 billion yuan to ensure drinking water supply and water conservation projects in drought-hit regions..

绿色和平组织呼吁中国重新思考能源政策,以免中国北部爆发水危机。绿色和平在本周二发表的一份报告中称,如果中国坚持计划中的煤矿开发和电站修建项目,中国每年需要多耗费100亿立法米的水。对现在就缺水的中国北方来说将是雪上加霜。中国政府计划至2015年每年增加煤炭开采22亿吨,此外还将兴建16座新的火力发电站,大部分在北方。绿色和平组织称,煤矿开采和发电对水资源的大量需求对黄河生态和周边人民的生活带来严重影响。
