Gaycken, Dr. Sandro

Dr. Sandro Gaycken is a technology and security researcher at Freie Universität Berlin. He focuses on cyber warfare, security policy and information technology, and on the ethical consequences of IT-based security technology. He also specializes in research on the systemic correlations between technology and policy and between technology and war, surveillance and data protection and the trade-offs between freedom and security. In addition to his research Gaycken serves as an advisor to various security institutions and commercial enterprises in Germany and abroad.
