Elvira Jankowski studied mechanical engineering at Bochum University and received her PhD in logistics from the University of Dortmund in Germany. Since 2003 she has held a professorship for Design Methodology and Quality Engineering in the department of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Technical Journalism at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (BRSU). In 2007 she became a member of the board of governors of BRSU. Jankowski is responsible for the cooperation with the Karlheinz Böhm Stiftung “Menschen für Menschen” and their Agro Technical and Technology College (ATTC) in Harar, Ethiopia.
