National Advocacy Advisor, SOS Children’s Villages Croatia
Krešimir Makvić has initiated numerous activities and proactive efforts to change policies and practices that violate the wellbeing of children at risk of losing parental care or who have lost it.
He is a professional educator with extensive experience in direct work with children and young people (being a president of the Association “Play”, providing rehabilitative, educational, psychosocial and pedagogical assistance and support) and in the design and implementation of projects involving children and young people. Currently he is enrolled in a Master’s Advocacy program at the University of Zagreb (law faculty).
Makvić passionately and continuously tries to promote positive change using his vast practical experience by working with children and young people, networking and his academic pursuits, thus bringing children’s “voices” closer to government and all other relevant “ears” that need to hear the voice of the future!
